Tell Jesus, Recollections of Emily Gosse
Every Christian has one Christian in their past that they remember. Someone who they look up to, someone to try to pattern themselves after. Emily Gosse was such a Christian. However, Emily Gosse was someone who truly put their faith in Jesus. She put her whole life in the hands of Jesus and lived a life devoted to him.
Emily believed in taking everything to Jesus, even to the point of asking Jesus where lost objects were. She laid all her problems at the feet of Jesus and truly expected to receive responses from Him. Her favorite saying was "Tell Jesus". She lived a wonderful life devoted to Jesus and winning souls to Him. The ending of her life was a true test and one that she passed with flying colors.
Anna Shipton recalls meeting Emily for the first time and all the times she spent with her during the final years of her life. Without Emily, Anna would not have become the Christian that she had become. With Anna's help and recollections, we can see how Emily lived and how she believed. This can do nothing but help us reach a higher level of Christian living.
If there is one book that you read this year, make it this one. It will truly bless your heart and give you the ambition to have a deeper relationship with Jesus.
